Jewellery Care

Your Trellum Jewellery will be a treasured possesion, and should be cared for properly. The surface of gold, platinum and silver jewellery can become dulled - professional cleanings are recommended as often as once a year. Between professional servicing, most gold and platinum jewellery can be maintained with a non-abrasive cleaner.

Sterling sliver tarnishes rapidly, especially when exposed to salt air and products containing sulfur. Trellum recommends a nonabrasive silver polish to keep your silver looking its best.

Some people can also have high amounts of acid in their sweat, which will also cause tarnishing. This can be solved with various plating processes or regular maintainance. Be sure to tell us if anybody in your group suspects this may be a problem for them or if they are allergic to silver.

Jewellery storage is important as well. At the time of purchase, all Trellum Jewellery is wrapped in a protective box, case or tarnish resistant pouch. Between wearings, we recommend that you place it back in its original case or another suitably lined box or pouch.
